Well then....

I really have...nothing to say. Only that looking back on my 15 year old self is highly amusing and slightly disturbing.
So, not that anyone reads this, but I'm in college now. I'm 17. And I'm much more awesome than I once was.
Woo!

*coughs* Sorry. Random Dr Suess reference for lack of a better title.
I ended up deciding I will at least try doing the National Novel Writing Month. For those who might care.
I have a couple things I'll submit once I am able to.
My cousins, aunt, and uncle have come over for my grandmother's and sister's birthday. So this is being rather fun. And dark chocolate cupcakes are good in just about any situation.
After hearing many good things about it, I finally ended up buying Okami. I really like it so far. Especially since I've been doing Chinese brush painting in art class, it really kinda get's me appreciating (sp?) the art style of the game.
I'm kind of in a hole right now in the way of drawing. Rather sad.
I'm getting angry at the weather. It keeps taunting me with colder temperatures one day and then gives me warm stuff the next day. I want to hurt it. But that's kind of difficult.
Signing off for now!

My sister's birthday was today. She got a cockatiel. She's been wanting one for a while and now she finally got one. Kal (my bird, also a cockatiel) doesn't seem to know what to think. I must post up pictures soon.

As promised, a journal on our (me and my family's) vacation to New Mexico (see previous journal).
The first day we were there (if you count the day we got there), we pretty much just sat around the motel room, watched TV, and swam in the motel pool. But then we didn't get there 'till like, 6:00 pm or something like that. And then we slept. Not well in my case. I absolutely hated those beds.
Second day we hiked about up in the Sacramento Mountains. Man it's beautiful up there. And cool. Some could even call it cold. We went up and toured a solar observatory. That was cool. And then alot of the time we just sorta drove around fairly aimlessly with the windows down to let in the mountain air. Then when we were done up there we went back down to Alamogordo and went to this really cool space museum (they said at the desk it would take like 45-60 mins and it took us like two hours. *laughs*), and went to the Tombaugh(sp?) IMAX theater to watch a video on the ocean and its fishies, narrated by Johhny Depp and Kate something-or-other. It was cool. Then we went back to the motel room and did similar things to what we did the first day.
Third day we went to a ranch and rode horses for an hour. That was really fun. Even if I did nearly fall off once. Stupid horse really wanted to gallop. After that we got a gallon of fresh apple cider from the same place. That stuff was really good. Then we went down to the White Sands desert. That was really awesome, too. And it had just flooded so we got in free and not too many other people were there. And I drew in the sand. I'll upload a picture later. But it was cool 'cause it would be like entire parking lots cover in shallow water. So we just walked barefoot across the dunes. It was awesome. And then we went back to motel and swam.
Fourth day we came home. End of story.
So yeah. It was really fun. But now we're home and our little Texas hills look really tiny compared to the mountains. Once we get the pictures developed I'll upload some of them. So, until later.

Well, here I am in New Mexico. Stuck right between White Sands desert and Cloudcroft. Wow. It's pretty out here. Heh. I tried making a ham, cheese, and pineapple sandwitch. It was actually pretty good. Anyway, I'll give full info when I get home. Until then, the net kinda sucks in our motel. So I may not be able to get on a whole lot.

Journaling my Updates
Aug. 3rd, 2006 | 04:52 pm
mood:
Hot
Omigosh! It's been SOOOOO long since I last updated. I have a good bit to catch up on.
I got a PS2. Still haven't played all that much on it, but then again I've been working on Kingdom Hearts I and II. Wow. I love those games. Only a week or two since I started playing and I'm already obsessed. And I no longer think of the name Sora as a girl's name. Furthermore, however, I know just about nothing about any of the games for this. So please! I need info. What are some good games for PS2? Or PS1. Whatever.
I have also discovered the anime 'Wolf's Rain'. I like it. I must watch more.
And Kal (my cockatiel, not my character), ran into the fan. Omigosh I was so scared. However, miraculously, he is completely okay now, several weeks later. The only damage that seems to be at all lasting is the loss of his crest feathers, which has already grown back, although it's shorter than before.
Chris (my older brother) got back today from a two week trip up north. He says he's tired. He's been sleeping practically ever since he got back.
I'm working on some sketches that I rather like. Maybe I'll upload some if I decide I feel like it.
It's hot down here. And our A/C died. I don't think it's as bad as my mom seems to think. But then again I like sitting in front of the fan while I'm on the laptop. When the fan isn't on it's hot though. Meh.
Signing off!

Journal update! Duck in cover!

Tired
So yeah. Been awhile. I've been trying to gather up the initiative and just never could seem to.
I haven't been seeming able to draw or write anything lately. Mostly the most artistic thing I've been up to is calligraphy. Most everything else seems to go ploosh not long after I start. Writing is better than art, but even that has been rather down.
And then for the past couple of days I've been waking up with a slightly sore throat. So that kinda sucks too.
Saw X-Men 3. It was...good in a way. If you liked the others for the violence and want more of that, you'll like this. Even in that though I don't think it was as good as the others. Phoenix wasn't powerful enough. And there were no flames. I wanted flames.

General update. No real reason.
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2774758/1/
OMiGosh! Star wars fanfiction that doesn't completly suck! No offense to any of my watchees/whatchers meant of course, but if you've ever tried looking at fanfiction.net for good Star Wars fics, you'll know what I'm talking about. Moving on.
I went and got myself sick. I blame my brother Sean. I think he brought it back from his friend's on purpose. And it's not bad enough that I can get out of school either. Being homeshooled has it's drawbacks. *mutterrant*
I have several pieces that need to finish. I just need to get up off my lazy arse and color the blasted things. Maybe with me being sick, and my dad working close to home all week (therefore leaving his laptop at home where I am able to use it), I'll find the time to do them.
Still accepting requests if anyone's interested.

Is that even a word? I like it. *ahem* Anyway, as I was about to say. I am tentatively taking requests as of...now. Why? Because I need the practice, don't feel like drawing any of my own characters, don't want to create a new character every time I draw, don't want to do random gryphs, and, finally, the most important reason: BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT! Whoa...caps lock.
So...yesh. Either comment here, email me, or use one of my IM handles. My preference would be drawing gryphies. I may TRY humans. Dragons I've....never even tried. But are very tentative. Anything else: ASK ME!
Sooooo, there it is.

Killer chickens...or rather roosters in this case

Peaceful
music: Nightwish - Creek Mary's Blood.
Yeah. Rather interesting thing happened yesterday. My seven year-old brother was in the pen with our six chickens and single rooster, when out of nowhere (I assume, I wasn't there) the rooster comes up and pecks him below and a little to the right of his right eye. It was just him and his sister out there, and so she starts carrying him in. I'm in the garage (which has been made into a very large room) when I hear him screaming and crying. So I go out, and find my sister struggling to carry him in. I took him from her, and carried him in myself. He ended up getting four stitches. While I was home, listening to my grandmother talk about how we needed to cut the rooster's head off. So...yeah. Interesting

Updates, rain, and possible a bit of ranting.

Relaxed
music: The subtle hum of the laptop.
Yup. Subject says it all. So, in order, I'll start with updates.
Not a huge amount has happened recently. Not much has happened in the way of arts. Mostly all I've been doing in that respect is writing type stuff. Making new characters for my fantasy world, messing around with other things of the same place...
*clears throat* Aaaanyway. My sword wound is healing. If I'm lucky it will scar (I'm wierd like that).
We got a ton of rain today. Enough that when I went out to stroll in the back field, I discovered that even my so-called 'water-proof' jacket, has it's limits to just how water-proof it really is.
No ranting. I'm not in the mood. Sorry 'bout that for those who like such things. Signing off!

I repeat WOOT! I got my Learners Permit yesterday. Really a bit strange. They make such a huge deal over something so seamingly small. I mean, thumbprints, a test, swearing (not in a bad way), signing my signature somewhere around a dozen times. But now it's over! And I can legally drive with someone over 21 in the front passenger seat.

It's been coming along pretty well too.
have some pictures! (WARNING! Extremely image heavy! I will not take blame for computers with slow connections exploding into a thousand pieces. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!)

Whoa...How'd that last one get in there?
Soooo, yes. Obviously it still needs a few touches. Like maybe....Fur? Eyes? A Nose?
